Bad Vlad took the 2007 Home Run Derby crown by massacring a slew of red stitches and cowhide to left field in the late rounds of the tournament Monday night. His final opposition, Alex Rios, actually had two more total dingers, including a round high twelve in the second, but could only muster a measly two in the last round, giving Guerrero the ability to win on a walk-off smash with three outs left. Former champ, Ryan Howard went down in the pathetic first round, as did Magglio Ordonez, who could only manage a gentleman's deuce. Vlad, Rios, and Matt Holliday all led the first with five, the lowest winning total for the derby's opening round in history.
