If you tossed another percentage or two of alcohol into Stone's Arrogant Bastard, you'd get the Flying Dog Double Dog Double Pale Ale. There's a lot of D's in that, and a lot of flavor in the beer. Like the Bastard, the Double Dog is coppery red and chock full of hops. It has a lusciously full body and carbonation to spare. It's crisp, refreshing and a whopping 10.5% ABV and is reminiscent of grapefruit and pine trees or biting into an orange rind. It's not quite leather dominatrix level, but it will tie you up with silk scarves and hand spank you. (A)
